Ampthill Brewhouse: Sales person required immediately, with an opportunity to earn a good rate of pay.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to get involved in the next stage of development of a fast growing micro-brewery based in Ampthill, Bedfordshire, known as Ampthill Brewhouse. A proudly independent micro-brewery that started out in 2015. Within a short time excellent success has followed from our stable of beers, along with market recognition for our hard work. Our brewery team are constantly experimenting with different styles, flavours, aromas producing high quality seasonal, limited-edition specials.

An opportunity has arisen for an energetic, passionate and experienced sales person to work alongside our brewing and operations team. This person and will earn a competitive commission based income based on new and existing account sales. This will be paid on hitting agreed sales targets.

It is for an immediate start, so as to develop and drive our 2017 wholesale and trade growth plans.

We anticipate this being a part time role initially and are keen to support a flexible working pattern.

Key job specifics and responsibilities will include: 

  • Development and execution of a successful sales plan for trade and wholesale.
  • Identifying and developing new sales opportunities in the trade and wholesale markets.
  • Successful approaches to potential customers, including new pubs and bars, off-licences, wholesalers etc.
  • Quickly developing strong and productive day to day relationships with existing customers.
  • Develop and Maintain a robust database of existing and pipeline customers and relationships.
  • Liaise with operations and brewery team to efficiently manage sales orders and fulfilment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrable success in developing strong customer relationships.

  • Enthusiastic and able to demonstrate knowledge of the brewing & craft beer industry.
  • Commercially minded with strong sales & negotiation skills.
  • A can-do attitude with problem solving skills, able to work under pressure.
  • Proficient IT skills, specifically with Word, Excel, social media, web platforms and the ability to learn and use new software.
