A BREWERY opened its first shopfront last weekend selling its very own selection of ales.

Ampthill Brewhouse, which launched in June, was founded by a group of people who aimed to create a good quality, locally made product and distribute it across the county

And in just five short months they are already well on their way, as they have their ales in a number of local pubs, including The Hide in Ampthill, and opened their very own shop at their brewery on the Station Road Industrial Estate.

Mary Jeffery, one of the lead brewers, said: “It has been a lot of hard work but we absolutely love it.

“We are thrilled with our three ales so far, our Session Ale, our Golden Ale and Indian Pale Ale, and hope to promote them across the county and even further afield.

“Our products have been well received by all of the businesses and investors we have got on board so far, and we hope our shop can ensure even more people get to try our ales and hopefully enjoy them as much as we love making them.”
